Pankaj Parekh Founder, CTO
of iPolicy Networks
Pankaj Parekh led the core product development team
during the initial stages of the company as VP of Engineering. Prior to
iPolicy Networks he was president, CEO, and founder of Tunnelnet, a company that
designed networking products integrating load balancing with application-layer
QoS. He founded Tunnelnet after many years in senior engineering
management positions with Intel. At Intel, Pankaj managed the complete
system development and compatibility validation of Pentium II desktop and server
products. He was in charge of the engineering teams at four Intel global
R&D locations that delivered the first PII systems. He also led the
team that developed the system and silicon validation servers for Itanium
processors, allowing Intel to deliver working processors in the first
trial. Pankaj was instrumental in the design of i960 Microprocessor
architecture for which he developed the real time operation system. Prior
to Intel, Pankaj co-founded Penguin Research Inc., a pioneer in on-demand
CD-quality music systems. Pankaj received a bachelor of engineering degree
in Electronics & Communication from Gujarat University, India, and a master
of science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Arizona State
University. He has authored or co-authored a total of 12 patents in the
fields of networking and security.
