Edward Vielmetti  Founder, The Vacuum Group, LLC

Edward Vielmetti is the founder of The Vacuum Group LLC, an Ann Arbor, MI, Internet consulting practice.  Ed is a twenty year veteran of Internet systems and software development with a long track record of working on systems three years before they reach the mainstream.  He played an early role in the commercialization of the Internet, the development of multimedia email and the world wide web, the design of virtual private networking protocols, and the growth of weblog and enterprise wiki tools.  Mr. Vielmetti is the author of the weblog Vacuum, which has been running since 1999.  He is the founder of the Cisco Alumni Association, and a member of the International Network of Social Network Analysts and the Information Architecture Institute. He is a native of the Upper Peninsula and lives in Ann Arbor with his partner and their two children.
