K. Scott Vowels VP Security Comerica

Scott Vowels is a vice president in the Corporate Information Security Services Department of Comerica Incorporated, one of the 20 largest banking companies in the United States.  As the officer-in-charge of Security Architecture and Engineering for the Detroit-based bank, he manages a staff of four professionals and is responsible for numerous areas in security.
Vowels joined Comerica in 2001.  Previously, he served as a network and security engineer for M-CARE Inc., of Ann Arbor, Mich.  While with M-CARE, he was responsible for the security of host systems, network infrastructure and acted as the liaison to the University Health System’s Security and Privacy committee.
Vowels is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and is involved in several security and privacy organizations.
